Tale of the Tape
Shrnutí výsledku
Bogdan Grad defeated Dennis Buzukja by submission (arm triangle) at 4:33 of round two in a featherweight bout at UFC Fight Night: Medić vs. Rodriguez in Belgrade on August 1, 2026. Grad controlled the grappling exchanges throughout the second round and secured the head-and-arm choke late in the frame to earn the finish. The stoppage was immediately disputed by Buzukja, who argued he had not tapped; replay footage was ambiguous, showing his hand moving near his opponent's thigh in what appeared to be either a tap or an attempt to push free. The victory snapped a two-fight skid for Grad, who moves to 16-4.
Přehled zápasu
Both featherweights arrive at Belgrade Arena carrying identical two-fight losing streaks with their UFC futures on the line. Dennis Buzukja was knocked out in round one by Marcio Barbosa in April 2026; Bogdan Grad was stopped inside 30 seconds by Luke Riley just months before that. With no margin for error on either side, this is the kind of high-stakes must-win that produces unpredictable, urgent fights.
Klíče k vítězství
Dennis Buzukja
- Avoid the flat-footed, open-range striking that led to both of his recent knockout losses — move and use angles.
- Mix in grappling and clinch work to disrupt Grad's rhythm and deny him the clean punching range he prefers.
- Stay patient and build pressure steadily rather than rushing for a finish out of desperation.
Bogdan Grad
- Reset mentally after the 30-second knockout loss and trust fundamental striking rather than forcing early stoppage attempts.
- Use active footwork and lateral movement to avoid counter shots — head movement has been the missing element in recent losses.
- Apply forward pressure strategically rather than recklessly — his 'Unleashed' style is effective when disciplined, dangerous when undisciplined.
