Tale of the Tape
Shrnutí výsledku
UFC newcomer Victor Valenzuela overcame a sluggish start to secure a debut victory against veteran Max Griffin. The first two rounds were largely uneventful and frustrating, marked by Griffin staying at range, feinting heavily, and neutralizing the action without throwing much volume. Realizing the fight was slipping away, Valenzuela fought with real urgency in the third round, pressing forward and forcing Griffin into heavy dirty boxing exchanges in the pocket. Griffin managed a late level-change for a takedown but couldn't hold the aggressive newcomer down. Valenzuela's significant pressure and close-range damage in the final frame earned him the unanimous decision win.
