Resumen del resultado
Cobey Fehr defeated Daniel Bzdigian by D'Arce choke submission at 2:00 of the first round in a bantamweight opener at PFL San Diego: McKee vs. Isbulaev on June 27, 2026. Fehr secured a front headlock and squeezed the choke from the ground position, forcing Bzdigian to tap exactly two minutes in. The efficient finish moved Fehr to 4-0 with all four victories by stoppage. Bzdigian, entering at 3-1, had no answer for Fehr's grappling control in what became the night's quickest finish.
Resumen del combate
Cobey Fehr, a two-time Division II All-American wrestler training at Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas, steps up to his PFL debut at 3-0 against Daniel Bzdigian, a 23-year-old California prospect making his professional debut after going 3-0 in the amateurs. The matchup pits Fehr's proven wrestling-based MMA pedigree and finishing ability across all methods against the unknown ceiling of a taller, longer debutant whose amateur run included a first-round submission finish.
Claves de la victoria
Cobey Fehr
- Close the distance immediately and secure takedowns to negate Bzdigian's four-inch height and reach advantage.
- Mix submission attempts with ground-and-pound to prevent Bzdigian from settling into a defensive guard.
- Use wrestling setups as a threat to create openings for strikes and avoid getting caught in early exchanges.
Daniel Bzdigian
- Keep the fight standing and use his 70-inch reach to establish a consistent jab that controls range against Fehr.
- Avoid the cage wall where Fehr can time double-leg entries and immediately work back to his feet if taken down.
- Capitalize on the pro debut adrenaline by pressing forward early and testing Fehr's ability to absorb pro-level pressure.
