Resumen del resultado
Cris Cyborg defeated Ketlen Vieira by unanimous decision — 49-46, 48-47, 49-46 — across five rounds in the main event of PFL Tampa on August 22, 2026, retaining her PFL women's featherweight title. The championship was effectively off the table before the opening bell: Vieira weighed in more than seven pounds over the featherweight limit, making the belt non-transferable regardless of the outcome. Cyborg controlled the contest throughout, earning lopsided scorecards from two of the three judges in what she announced would be her final MMA bout. The win lifts Cyborg's professional record to 30-2 and closes her career with her PFL title intact. Following the fight, Cyborg expressed interest in pursuing a boxing match against Claressa Shields.
Resumen del combate
Cris Cyborg, the reigning PFL women's featherweight champion at 29-2, puts her title on the line in what she has announced as her farewell cage appearance; a win would make her the first woman in MMA history to reach 30 professional victories. Ketlen Vieira, the former UFC bantamweight title challenger, brings elite wrestling and Brazilian jiu-jitsu that represent one of the few complete skill sets capable of genuinely troubling Cyborg. History, a championship belt, and a potential send-off for one of the sport's all-time great careers are all at stake.
Claves de la victoria
Cris Cyborg
- Impose relentless physical aggression on the feet to deny Vieira the rhythm she needs to set up her wrestling entries.
- Stay active in the clinch with elbows and dirty boxing to prevent Vieira from completing takedowns against the cage.
- Protect her legacy by keeping the fight where she is most dominant and avoiding deep grappling exchanges where Vieira's BJJ is most dangerous.
Ketlen Vieira
- Force the fight to the ground through chain wrestling as early as possible to neutralize Cyborg's devastating striking power.
- Use her former-bantamweight size and wrestling background to outwork Cyborg in the clinch rather than trading power shots at distance.
- Stay disciplined and avoid absorbing the early big shots that have finished twenty-plus of Cyborg's opponents over two decades.
