Aperçu du combat
An intriguing welterweight scrap featuring Ecuadorian striking specialist Mayton "Lion" Perea taking on the undefeated prospect Zevan Hunt. Perea brings massive physical advantages with his 6'3" frame and 79-inch reach, presenting a literal tall task for Hunt, who must solve the distance puzzle to keep his perfect 7-0 record intact and earn Dana White's approval.
Clés de la victoire
Mayton Perea
- Leverage his massive 79-inch reach with a stiff, piston-like jab to keep Hunt strictly on the outside
- Throw long teep kicks to the midsection to maintain range, disrupt Hunt's forward momentum, and protect the center line
- Prepare counter right hands and uppercuts as Hunt inevitably overcommits to close the significant distance
Zevan Hunt
- Utilize high-level head movement and constant level changes to slip past Perea's long jab and enter the pocket safely
- Invest heavily in brutal calf kicks early in the bout to chop down the tall, long legs of the Ecuadorian, limiting his mobility
- Turn the fight into a grueling clinch battle against the cage to completely negate Perea's striking length and leverage
