Résumé du résultat
Jean Silva defeated Jose Miguel Delgado by submission (rear-naked choke) at 2:57 of round three in the featherweight main event of Noche UFC on September 12, 2026. Silva dominated the third round, dropping Delgado with a right hand along the fence, then taking his back when Delgado scrambled to secure the finish. The fight's early story ran the other way: Delgado had dropped Silva with a right cross in round one, but Silva shook off the knockdown and built increasing pressure through round two and three. With the victory, Silva improved to 7-1 inside the Octagon with six finishes.
Aperçu du combat
Jean Silva enters ranked sixth at featherweight and fresh off a decision over Arnold Allen, but faces short-notice replacement Jose Miguel Delgado, a hard-hitting Mexican who has gone 4-1 in the UFC and is vowing a knockout. Delgado stepped up on roughly three weeks' notice after Yair Rodriguez withdrew injured, turning what could have been a showcase into a genuine test of whether Silva can handle dangerous, motivated opposition on the Noche UFC stage.
Clés de la victoire
Jean Silva
- Use footwork and outside distance to deny Delgado the pocket exchanges where his finishing power becomes a factor.
- Establish the jab early and build combinations behind it to control range and punish Delgado as he advances.
- Avoid retaliating in brawls and impose a disciplined, technical game plan that highlights the ranking gap.
Jose Miguel Delgado
- Press forward immediately and smother Silva's footwork before he settles into his technical rhythm.
- Target the body consistently in rounds one and two to slow Silva's movement and open the head for finishing shots.
- Commit to big, finishing combinations rather than cautious exchanges — short notice leaves no room for a conservative game plan.
