Résumé du résultat

Franco Tenaglia bat Yassin Najid TKO · R2 5:00

Former BKFC standout Franco Tenaglia made a massive statement in his PFL debut, bringing heavy forward pressure that completely neutralized Yassin Najid's flashy taekwondo-style attacks. Tenaglia continuously crashed the pocket, putting Najid on his back foot and unloading heavy body shots and bombs upstairs against the fence. Najid's attempts to bring the fight to the ground were stuffed by the aggressive Argentine. By the end of the second round, the accumulated damage from Tenaglia's swarming offense took its toll, and Najid suffered a nasty shoulder injury. The doctor and corner stopped the bout between the second and third rounds, awarding Tenaglia a TKO victory at the 5:00 mark of Round 2.

Aperçu du combat

Bare-knuckle boxing superstar and Climent Club prodigy Franco Tenaglia crosses over to make his highly anticipated global PFL MMA debut against France's Yassin Najid. Fighting in front of a raucous adopted home crowd in Spain, Tenaglia looks to prove that his elite, devastating bare-knuckle striking translates perfectly into modern MMA against the tough welterweight veteran.

Clés de la victoire

Franco Tenaglia

  1. Leverage elite dirty boxing and heavy hooks when fighting inside the pocket
  2. Maintain a wide stance to defend takedowns while pressuring Najid toward the cage
  3. Attack the body relentlessly to drain Najid's cardio in the later rounds

Yassin Najid

  1. Exploit Tenaglia's MMA transitions by utilizing a wrestling-heavy gameplan
  2. Stay entirely out of boxing range, utilizing calf kicks to compromise Tenaglia's base
  3. Drag the fight to the mat early and look for ground-and-pound to test Tenaglia's bottom game
