Giovanna Canuto VS Caroline Foro

Kicking off the UFC Vegas 120 card, debutants Giovanna 'Gigi' Canuto and Caroline 'Carol' Foro put on an absolute banger of a fight that set the tone for the entire event. Both women took the bout on less than a week's notice but fought with incredible pace and intensity. Foro established her striking early, functioning like a buzzsaw as she utilized heavy leg kicks and punishing body shots to back Canuto up. Despite being out-struck on the feet, the BJJ black belt Canuto showed immense heart and incredible grappling danger. During a scramble, Canuto nearly secured a deep armbar that Foro miraculously survived. As the fight progressed into the final round, Canuto was visibly exhausted from the high pace, while Foro continued to march forward like a tank, landing crisp combinations. Both women wore serious damage, with Foro battling through a massive hematoma. Ultimately, Foro's consistent striking, forward pressure, and damage output earned her a hard-fought unanimous decision victory (29-28 across all three scorecards) in what many fans called an early Fight of the Night contender.
