Amru Magomedov VS Angel Alvarez

Amru Magomedov defeated Angel Alvarez by TKO (punches) at 4:28 of round two in a lightweight bout at PFL New York: Nurmagomedov vs. Colgan on July 31, 2026. Magomedov opened the fight with systematic calf kicks that dropped Alvarez twice in the first round, and a third knockdown early in round two immediately set up the finish. He pursued Alvarez to the canvas, locked a front head lock, transitioned to mount, and landed the heavy ground-and-pound that prompted the referee's stoppage. The Dagestani finished both phases of the bout decisively, and the performance was described as a stellar debut on the PFL stage.
