Tallison Teixeira silenced the Sydney crowd by defeating fan-favorite Tai Tuivasa via unanimous decision (29-28 x3). The towering Brazilian utilized his massive reach advantage to control the first two rounds, dropping Tuivasa early and stifling the Australian's brawling style with clinch work and short shots. Tuivasa rallied in the third round, pressing forward and landing heavy shots that had Teixeira in survival mode, but the Brazilian showed great durability to weather the storm and reach the final horn.
