Veteran JJ Aldrich put on a striking clinic to defeat Jamey-Lyn Horth by unanimous decision. Horth attempted to bring physicality and aggression to the bout, frequently looking to close the distance and turn it into a brawling clinch fight. However, Aldrich used beautiful lateral footwork and crisp, technical boxing to consistently beat Horth to the punch. Operating behind a stiff jab and a pinpoint straight left hand, Aldrich managed the distance masterfully. While Horth had brief moments of success when she initiated the clinch, Aldrich’s high volume and superior accuracy dictated the entire flow of the match, earning her the nod from all three judges (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).
