Julia Polastri bes. Jingnan Xiong TKO (Kick) · R1 3:06

Julia Polastri stopped Jingnan Xiong via TKO (head kick) at 3:06 of the first round in their strawweight contest at UFC Fight Night: Nurmagomedov vs. Song in Shanghai on August 29, 2026. The two exchanged strikes along the fence early in the round, but Polastri set up the finish by attacking the body before pivoting high with her right leg and landing a flush head kick that dropped Xiong. The referee stopped the bout immediately, giving Polastri a clean first-round stoppage. Xiong, a former ONE Championship strawweight world champion, had no answer for Polastri's body-to-head combination as the Brazilian delivered one of the more emphatic finishes on the preliminary card.

Kampf-Übersicht

A monumental moment for the strawweight division as former ONE Championship titleholder Jingnan 'The Panda' Xiong makes her highly anticipated UFC debut against the gritty, well-rounded Brazilian Julia Polastri.

Schlüssel zum Sieg

Julia Polastri

  1. Neutralize Xiong's aggressive boxing by immediately initiating the clinch when she steps into range.
  2. Look for well-timed takedowns to test the Chinese star's defensive grappling in the UFC format.
  3. Fight a highly composed battle on the outside, avoiding extended pocket boxing exchanges where Xiong thrives.

Jingnan Xiong

  1. Leverage her elite, heavy-handed boxing combinations to completely overwhelm Polastri in the pocket.
  2. Stay off the cage and maintain center control to easily stuff Polastri's takedown attempts.
  3. Unleash her trademark overhand right to seek a signature, statement knockout in front of her home country.
