Marko Ancic def. Ronaldo Ferreira Decision (unanimous) · R3 5:00
Fight Overview
Undefeated local Croatian standout Marko Ančić brings his perfect record into the spotlight as he takes on the dangerous Brazilian Ronaldo Ferreira. Ančić represents the new wave of Croatian MMA talent and will enjoy massive support in the Zadar arena. However, he faces a stiff international test against Ferreira, whose unpredictable Brazilian striking and slick grappling could immediately derail Ančić's hype train.
Keys to Victory
Marko Ancic
- Push a high pace from the opening bell to disrupt the Brazilian's rhythm and prevent him from setting up dynamic strikes
- Mix level changes with boxing combinations, keeping Ferreira guessing about whether the fight is staying on the feet or going to the mat
- Maintain a tight defensive guard during striking exchanges to avoid Ferreira's unorthodox, looping attacks
Ronaldo Ferreira
- Utilize dynamic Brazilian striking techniques, including kicks and spinning attacks, to keep the aggressive Ančić at bay
- Look to bait Ančić into the clinch where Ferreira can land devastating knees and elbows
- Be highly active off his back with submission attempts if Ančić secures a takedown, turning defense into immediate offense
