Martin Batur def. Michal Andryszak TKO (punches) · R2 1:41
Fight Overview
A highly anticipated heavyweight rematch to settle unfinished business. Their first encounter at FNC 21 in Zadar ended prematurely and controversially when Martin Batur suffered a freak knee injury in the first round, handing Michal Andryszak a stoppage victory. Now fully recovered, Batur seeks redemption on the biggest stage, while the towering Polish powerhouse Andryszak aims to prove the first win was no fluke.
Keys to Victory
Martin Batur
- Protect the lead leg: Maintain a narrow stance and check kicks diligently to avoid a recurrence of the freak knee injury from their previous encounter.
- Utilize judo in the clinch: Tie up the massive Andryszak in the clinch, using trips and throws to bring the fight to the mat safely.
- Survive the early storm: Fight conservatively in the first round to weather Andryszak's notorious early blitz, taking over as the Polish fighter fades.
Michal Andryszak
- Aggressive early blitz: Start fast to test Batur's mental and physical recovery from his previous injury, looking for a signature first-round finish.
- Long-range teeps and straight punches: Utilize his massive reach and size advantage to keep Batur on the outside, attacking with front kicks to the body.
- Heavy knees in the clinch: If Batur forces the tie-up, use dominant double collar ties to deliver devastating knees to the body and head.
