Anthony Ivy def. Will Currie Decision (unanimous) · R3 5:00
Fight Overview
A massive promotional debut for highly touted English middleweight prospect Will 'Drago' Currie. After being denied a second chance on Dana White's Contender Series due to visa issues, Currie brings his elite grappling and Cage Warriors pedigree to the FNC cage. He faces a stiff test in former UFC and PFL veteran Anthony Ivy. It's a classic battle of rising European potential against battle-tested American grit.
Keys to Victory
Will Currie
- Physical domination: Exploit his massive size and strength advantage to physically overwhelm the former welterweight Ivy in the clinch.
- Elite grappling implementation: Look for early takedowns to bring the fight to the mat, utilizing high-level submission grappling and heavy ground-and-pound.
- Channel frustration into pressure: Use the motivation from his recent DWCS visa denial to push an unrelenting pace and secure a statement finish.
Anthony Ivy
- Weather the early storm: Use his UFC-level veteran experience to survive the highly touted English prospect's inevitable first-round onslaught.
- Superior footwork: Keep the fight standing by utilizing lateral movement to constantly pivot away from Currie's heavy hands and takedown entries.
- Exploit the gas tank: If the fight extends past the first round, aggressively target the body to drain Currie's cardio and take over in the later rounds.
