Result Summary

Jan Malach def. Stefan Končar TKO · R3 1:58

The "King of the North" Jan Malach returned to Liberec to take on the dangerous Serbian "Butcher" Stefan Končar in a 75kg catchweight bout. Končar lived up to his moniker early, pushing a wild, brawling pace and attempting to overwhelm the home favorite with heavy power shots. Malach weathered the early storm, utilizing superior footwork and clean boxing fundamentals to counter the charging Serbian. As the fight entered the third round, Končar's cardio visibly faded, leaving his chin exposed. Malach seized the opportunity, backing Končar against the fence and unleashing a clinical barrage of strikes. A final flurry of unanswered punches crumpled Končar, prompting the referee stoppage at 01:58 of Round 3 and sending the local fans into a frenzy.

Fight Overview

A 75kg (165 lbs) Catchweight bout pitting 35-fight Czech veteran Jan Malach (18-17) against rising, undefeated Serbian prospect Stefan 'The Butcher' Končar (4-0). Malach looks to derail the hype train of a young fighter who boasts a 100% first-round finish rate.

Keys to Victory

Jan Malach

  1. Use his immense cage experience to read Končar's timing and set traps as the young fighter rushes in.
  2. Keep the fight at long kicking range to prevent 'The Butcher' from landing his trademark early round blitzes.
  3. Weather the early storm from the young Serbian and look to dominate the later rounds as Končar's output fades.

Stefan Končar

  1. Bring his signature first-round finishing pressure to overwhelm the veteran before he can settle into a rhythm.
  2. Utilize explosive combinations to back Malach against the cage and hunt for the early knockout.
  3. Mix in unexpected grappling exchanges to keep Malach guessing and open up heavy ground-and-pound opportunities.
