Tale of the Tape
Result Summary
Jack Grant defeated Ronald Paradeiser by submission (Scottish twister) at Oktagon 89 in Bratislava on June 6, 2026, finishing at 1:44 of round three in their welterweight contest. Grant landed the Scottish twister — a rare spine-lock submission requiring precise body-lock control from the back — to secure a decisive finish. The result ends Paradeiser's push for title contention at home; the Austrian-Slovak fighter was competing in front of his home crowd in Bratislava and had entered the bout citing the best form of his career.
Fight Overview
Ronald Paradeiser, the former OKTAGON lightweight champion moving up to welterweight, looks to bounce back after being stopped for the OKTAGON welterweight title against Kaik Brito in February 2026. He faces Jack Grant, a seasoned British welterweight with PFL Europe experience and a first-round knockout over Charlie Leary, making this a compelling test of Paradeiser's resilience and title aspirations against a physically imposing opponent.
Keys to Victory
Ronald Paradeiser
- Paradeiser must use his karate-based movement to stay on the outside and land sharp counter strikes.
- He needs to avoid the clinch and fence work where Grant's size and reach advantage become most dangerous.
- Paradeiser should look to close the distance explosively for takedowns to neutralize Grant's striking threat.
Jack Grant
- Grant must use his 6'1" frame and 73-inch reach to establish distance control and land heavy straight shots early.
- He should pressure Paradeiser against the cage to negate the elusive karate footwork and impose his physical size.
- Grant needs to stay disciplined against counter-attacks and not overcommit, especially in the later rounds.
