Fight Overview
Mochamed Machaev defends the OKTAGON featherweight title he won by knockout in under two minutes at OKTAGON 83, facing Gjoni Palokaj — a German-Albanian challenger riding an eight-fight winning streak, including a dominant title-eliminator win at OKTAGON 82, who is fighting in front of his home city of Hannover. Palokaj's momentum and crowd advantage collide with Machaev's confident finishing power in what shapes up as a legitimate contest for the belt.
Keys to Victory
Mochamed Machaev
- Strike first and impose his explosive finishing style before Palokaj can establish his grappling-heavy game plan.
- Stay aggressive on the feet to keep Palokaj from generating the wrestling entries that define his control game.
- Channel championship mentality from his dominant title win and refuse to be unsettled by the hostile crowd noise.
Gjoni Palokaj
- Secure early takedowns to neutralize Machaev's finishing power and establish control from top position.
- Use the home-crowd energy to dictate tempo and grind Machaev through consistent wrestling and pressure work.
- Keep Machaev against the cage with body locks to wear him down before hunting for the finish.
