Promising an intense 'kickboxing vs. Muay Thai' tactical war, this clash of styles will serve as a gritty highlight on the preliminary card.
Keys to Victory
Shannon van Tonder
- Exploit his grappling pedigree to secure early takedowns and hunt for his clinical rear-naked choke.
- Use his kickboxing fundamentals purely to set up level changes rather than engaging in a high-risk stand-up war.
- Maintain dominant top pressure to clearly win rounds and avoid the judges' scorecards entirely.
Asiashu Tshitamba
- Defend takedowns fiercely and keep the bout standing to fully utilize his seasoned Muay Thai arsenal.
- Break van Tonder's stance with heavy low kicks and punish him with brutal knees in the clinch.
- Reverse positions quickly if taken down and unleash heavy ground-and-pound from top position.
