Result Summary
Boule Godogo def. Dauda Rajabu TKO (ground and pound) · R3 2:42
Fight Overview
Dauda Rajabu, Tanzania's first EFC competitor and a relative unknown on the PFL Africa stage, makes his promotional debut against Boule Godogo, a battle-tested veteran of the full 2025 PFL Africa bantamweight tournament who is seeking to rebuild after back-to-back knockout losses in last season's semifinal and final. The fight opens the 2026 tournament in Lagos with genuine stylistic intrigue: Godogo's relentless forward pressure and takedown-heavy game meets an opponent whose ceiling, strengths, and durability remain largely uncharted.
Keys to Victory
Dauda Rajabu
- Rajabu must use his reported height and reach advantage to control distance and keep the fight standing.
- He needs to time and punish Godogo's telegraphed takedown attempts with well-placed counter strikes.
- Rajabu should look to apply his submission skills if the fight hits the mat, targeting choke entries from top or guard.
Boule Godogo
- Godogo must disguise his takedown attempts better, setting them up with strikes rather than shooting naked from range.
- He needs to avoid lunging forward carelessly, as his two recent losses both came while pressing into counters.
- Godogo should work to chain wrestling sequences in combination, keeping Rajabu off-balance and denying him space to counter.
