Hussain Al Kurdi def. Abderrahman Errachidy Submission (rear-naked choke) · R2 1:23
Fight Overview
Hussain Al Kurdi, the unbeaten Bahraini prodigy from KHK MMA, makes his PFL debut against Morocco's Abderrahman Errachidy — a man who has stopped all five of his opponents and already has a win on a PFL Africa card — in a 2026 PFL Africa Lightweight Tournament quarterfinal in Lagos. Both fighters are finishers, but Al Kurdi's demonstrated submission game squares off against Errachidy's Taekwondo-rooted striking and brutal ground-and-pound, with the Moroccan's one career loss by D'arce choke offering a potential roadmap for the younger man.
Keys to Victory
Hussain Al Kurdi
- Al Kurdi must close distance early and force the clinch to neutralize Errachidy's dangerous Taekwondo-based kicks.
- He should target takedowns and work submission attempts, exploiting Errachidy's known vulnerability to grappling and the D'arce choke.
- Al Kurdi needs to avoid standing in the pocket against a heavy counter-puncher and dictate where the fight takes place.
Abderrahman Errachidy
- Errachidy must use his height, reach, and unorthodox kick attacks to keep Al Kurdi at range and prevent takedowns.
- He should look to land his right hand on the counter and follow the finish to the ground with ground-and-pound as he has done repeatedly.
- Errachidy needs to get off the cage quickly if taken down and avoid half-guard and back-exposure positions where submission threats multiply.
