Demba Seck def. Jean Do Santos Decision (unanimous) · R3 5:00
Fight Overview
Two West African fighters collide in a PFL Africa 2026 Lightweight Tournament quarterfinal, each carrying fresh losses they need to answer for — Do Santos after being ground-controlled in his PFL debut, Seck after a short-notice TKO exit on the UFC Contenders Series. The stylistic matchup is sharp: Do Santos brings explosive first-round finishing instincts and real submission danger, while Seck counters with elite length, a 74.5-inch reach advantage, and the broader experience of a more seasoned competitive career.
Keys to Victory
Jean Do Santos
- Do Santos must close distance quickly and disrupt Seck's jab-and-range game before Seck can establish his reach advantage.
- He needs to threaten takedowns early to prevent Seck from settling into comfortable striking exchanges on the outside.
- Do Santos must avoid prolonged clinch wrestling and scrambles, where his bottom-game has been exposed in both career losses.
Demba Seck
- Seck must use his 74.5-inch reach to keep Do Santos at the end of his punches and neutralize the flying-knee threat.
- He needs to control the center of the cage and punish Do Santos's aggressive forward pressure with counter strikes and level changes.
- Seck must avoid getting his back taken or entering guard on the mat, where Do Santos has finished fights with triangle chokes.
