Shelda Chipito def. Haidy Ahmed Submission (rear-naked choke) · R2 4:49
Fight Overview
Shelda Chipito, Zambia's IMMAF African champion making just her second pro outing, brings a grappling-heavy game against Egypt's Haidy Ahmed, a finisher returning from nearly three years of inactivity on PFL Africa's landmark debut card in Lagos. The stylistic clash pits Chipito's relentless takedown pressure and ground control against Ahmed's proven striking power, with rust and ring sharpness as the critical wildcards.
Keys to Victory
Shelda Chipito
- Chipito must close distance quickly and secure early takedowns before Ahmed can time her punches.
- She needs to establish back control or mount and grind through ground-and-pound to prevent Ahmed from resetting.
- Chipito should use her footwork to cut angles on the feet and neutralize Ahmed's power shots between clinch attempts.
Haidy Ahmed
- Ahmed must keep the fight standing by using lateral movement and range management to deny clinch entries.
- She needs to land hard, early combinations to impose her striking and shake Chipito's confidence before takedown attempts.
- Ahmed must demonstrate sharp takedown defense and quick scrambles to offset the grappling threat that a three-year layoff may have dulled her against.
