Ignacio Campos def. Wasi Adeshina Submission (rear-naked choke) · R1 1:45
Fight Overview
Wasi Adeshina, the reigning 2025 PFL Africa featherweight champion, defends his regional prestige before a home crowd in Lagos at what is billed as the largest MMA event in West African history, facing Spanish challenger Ignacio Campos in a featherweight showcase. Adeshina's grinding, grappling-forward style built on a three-fight tournament run collides with Campos's early-storm aggression and finishing power, creating a sharp tactical question of whether Campos can impose a striking tempo before Adeshina drags the fight into his wrestling-and-submission comfort zone.
Keys to Victory
Wasi Adeshina
- Secure early takedowns to neutralize Campos's dangerous opening-round striking and establish top control.
- Use his 2.5-inch reach advantage in the clinch to set up takedown entries and submission hunts along the fence.
- Pace himself through the early exchanges and leverage his tournament-tested conditioning as the fight progresses into the later rounds.
Ignacio Campos
- Unleash his early-round finishing combinations before Adeshina can implement his takedown-heavy game plan.
- Disrupt Adeshina's wrestling entries with sharp counter-striking and active underhook defense to stay upright.
- Exploit Adeshina's tendency to overcommit offensively on the ground by hunting submission counters if taken down.
