Fight Overview

Nigeria's undefeated wrestling standout Yahaya Yahuza meets Cameroon's momentum-riding upset artist Jordan Cabrel Fongno in a West African derby that doubles as both fighters' PFL debut on African MMA's biggest stage yet. Yahuza brings an 8-0 record built on national-level wrestling credentials and a relentless all-round game, while Fongno arrives having just toppled a heavily favored veteran, raising the question of whether his ring intelligence and composure can neutralize a superior grappler.

Keys to Victory

Yahaya Yahuza

  1. Yahuza must use his Greco-Roman clinch work to drag the fight to the mat early and often.
  2. He needs to cut off the cage and deny Fongno the lateral movement required to control range.
  3. When Fongno attempts to reset to striking distance, Yahuza should immediately re-engage with a takedown rather than trading.

Jordan Cabrel Fongno

  1. Fongno must stay disciplined on the feet and use sharp, check-hook counters to punish Yahuza's takedown entries.
  2. He needs to keep tight back defense and avoid giving up back control, where his only professional loss was finished.
  3. Fongno should work to accumulate clean, visible scoring output in the early rounds to build a judge-proof lead before Yahuza's pace peaks.
