Tale of the Tape
Result Summary
In the heavyweight main event, Senegal's Abdoulaye Kane made a massive statement against the hometown favorite Badr Medkouri. The bout started with a brief halt in action after an accidental eye poke from Kane. Once Medkouri recovered and the referee restarted the fight, Kane aggressively closed the distance, controlling the heavy-handed Moroccan against the cage. Using his sheer physicality and clinch control, Kane broke Medkouri down and eventually unloaded a savage barrage of elbows. The relentless ground-and-pound left Medkouri defenseless, forcing the referee to intervene and wave off the fight at 4:06 of Round 1, silencing the Casablanca crowd and advancing Kane with an emphatic TKO finish.

Keys to Victory
Abdoulaye Kane
- Establish his own power early with the right head kick that finished fights at previous PFL Africa events.
- Don't let Medkouri find comfort on the outside; close distance quickly to neutralize the crowd's emotional impact.
- Control the center of the cage and prevent Medkouri from using lateral movement to reset after every exchange.
Badr Medkouri
- Feed off the home crowd energy to set an aggressive, high-tempo pace that overwhelms Kane in the early rounds.
- Leverage his eight-KO finishing record by targeting the body to set up the head knock that will ignite Casablanca.
- Avoid getting pulled into a clinch or taken down where Kane's wrestling-based submission game poses a threat.
