Tale of the Tape
Result Summary
Ashley Thiner defeated Mia Grawe by unanimous decision in a three-round women's flyweight contest on the preliminary card at PFL Austin: Eblen vs. Kasanganay 2 on July 18, 2026. All three judges returned identical 29-28 scores in Thiner's favor, a verdict that reflects consistent work across two rounds per scorecard while Grawe held her own enough to take at least one round on every card. The tight, matching margins point to a competitive fight settled on aggregate output over fifteen minutes rather than a single decisive moment. The win extended Thiner's professional record to 3-0.
Fight Overview
Both Ashley 'Whiplash' Thiner and Mia 'Raw' Grawe arrive in Austin undefeated professionally — Thiner at 2-0 as a PFL-tested Muay Thai striker, Grawe at 3-0 as a former Fury FC amateur champion who has finished opponents by knockout and submission. With neither fighter having faced adversity at the pro level, this strawweight prelim tests who holds their composure when forced off their game plan.
Keys to Victory
Ashley Thiner
- Control distance with her Muay Thai length and accumulate clean strikes before Grawe can close and clinch.
- Use active footwork to avoid backing against the cage where Grawe's grappling entries become most effective.
- Build volume in each round and maintain the striking output that her Muay Thai base gives her.
Mia Grawe
- Close distance aggressively and target takedowns to bring Thiner to the mat as early as possible.
- Look for the finish rather than settling into a striking battle where Thiner's Muay Thai gives her an edge.
- Use counter punches in the pocket to disrupt Thiner's rhythm and create preferred grappling entry points.
