Fight Overview

Shannon Clark and Lucero Acosta meet in a PFL women's flyweight bout on a Chicago card stacked with women's flyweight action — the main event is itself a women's flyweight title fight. Both women compete in one of the fastest-growing divisions in professional MMA, and a standout performance in front of a home crowd and a national ESPN2 broadcast can accelerate a career in ways that regional-circuit wins cannot replicate.

Keys to Victory

Shannon Clark

  1. Use the main card broadcast exposure to put together a complete performance and avoid leaving anything on the scorecards.
  2. Exploit any openings from Acosta's offense with precise counter-striking and efficient cage movement.
  3. Stay composed under pressure and trust her game plan against a fighter who will push pace on the Chicago stage.

Lucero Acosta

  1. Push a high pace from the bell to put Clark on the back foot and create the scrambles where she is most effective.
  2. Use forward pressure and angles to prevent Clark from settling into a comfortable counter-fighting rhythm.
  3. Show the PFL brass a performance that makes a second call easy — results in front of a national audience matter.
