Result Summary
Elias Boudegzdame def. Hussein Salem Submission (triangle choke) · R1 2:55
Fight Overview
Algeria's Elias "Smile" Boudegzdame is the most decorated fighter on this card, a former BRAVE CF world champion and Algeria's first-ever MMA world champion whose 20-9 career record includes 15 submission wins from a decade-plus of high-level grappling. Iraq's Hussein "Buffalo" Salem (12-6) is a multiple-time Muay Thai champion and experienced PFL MENA regular with 12 career finishes, meaning two very different finishing weapons collide in a featherweight quarterfinal with real championship implications.
Keys to Victory
Elias Boudegzdame
- Use his elite submission arsenal to turn every clinch and takedown attempt into a path to the finish.
- Keep the pressure constant and avoid giving Salem comfortable space to unload his Muay Thai combinations.
- Draw on his championship experience to stay composed if Salem lands early strikes and the fight gets difficult.
Hussein Salem
- Keep the fight standing and use sharp Muay Thai combinations to punish Boudegzdame before he can clinch.
- Avoid telegraphing takedown entries, as even a momentary off-balance gives Boudegzdame a submission opportunity.
- Target the body early to slow Boudegzdame's grappling pressure and create openings for the big finish.
