Result Summary
Eliezer Kubanza def. Chris Mixan Submission (d'arce choke) · R2 2:34
Fight Overview
Kubanza arrives in PFL with six knockouts across eight BRAVE CF wins, including a viral head-kick finish — but a first-round TKO loss on Dana White's Contender Series proved he can be hurt on the feet. Mixan is a PFL veteran with a 74-inch reach and a right hand that has produced multiple stoppage wins; two finishers at very different levels of seasoning meet in a stylistically charged prelim.
Keys to Victory
Eliezer Kubanza
- Close the distance explosively to nullify Mixan's 74-inch reach before counters can time entries cleanly
- Attack the body early to drop Mixan's guard and open the signature head-kick pathway
- Drag the fight to the fence after clinch entries and impose ground-and-pound where he finishes
Chris Mixan
- Stay on the outside, feed Kubanza the jab, and detonate the right hand counter as he enters
- Use lateral footwork to break Kubanza's forward momentum and reset to punching range between exchanges
- Avoid body locks and clinch work where Kubanza's dirty boxing, knees, and wrestling become most dangerous
