Fight Overview
Two middleweights with unfinished business at 205 meet in Sacramento, as Reinier de Ridder returns to light heavyweight after back-to-back losses at middleweight and faces Roman Dolidze, who carries a perfect 3-0 LHW record in the octagon despite a two-fight skid at 185. De Ridder's elite submission game and technical range work are tested against Dolidze's physical aggression and cage pressure. A win for either man reopens the door to the 205-pound top ten.
Keys to Victory
Reinier de Ridder
- Control distance with his jab and long kicks before committing to takedowns where his submissions shine.
- Avoid prolonged clinch battles against the fence, where Dolidze's physical strength becomes an equalizer.
- Work submission setups from top position to get a finish rather than relying on judges after recent losses.
Roman Dolidze
- Pressure de Ridder early and force clinch exchanges to disrupt his clean technical distance game.
- Use his natural LHW physicality to bully de Ridder against the cage and dictate pace.
- Stay durable and active in all three rounds rather than burning out chasing submission escapes late.
