Result Summary
Luis Felipe Dias def. Yi Sak Lee TKO (punch) · R1 3:40
Fight Overview
Both fighters make their UFC debuts at middleweight, with South Korea's Lee Yi-sak — a judoka-turned-MMA finisher with a near-perfect finish rate — facing experienced Brazilian Luis Felipe Dias, who earned his Contender Series UFC contract by submission and brings a balanced finishing record across 17 professional bouts. The contrast between Lee's judo-based positional grappling and Dias's submission-oriented attack sets up a technical ground battle.
Keys to Victory
Yi Sak Lee
- Use his judo base to secure off-balancing trips and throws that put Dias on the mat in compromised positions.
- Stay disciplined in the clinch, preventing Dias from establishing back position where his rear-naked choke is most dangerous.
- Apply relentless pressure to force Dias into scrambles where Lee's athletic grappling and finish rate shine.
Luis Felipe Dias
- Use his experience edge to control the pace and avoid early scrambles where Lee's judo throws are most effective.
- Drag the fight to the mat on his own terms and seek back exposure quickly before Lee establishes dominant position.
- Target body and head striking on the feet to bother the UFC newcomer and prevent a purely grappling-based fight.
