Résumé du résultat
Axel Sola stopped Farès Ziam by TKO at 3:19 of round one in a lightweight bout at UFC Fight Night: Hooker vs. Parnasse in Paris. Sola landed a devastating overhand left that put the fight away, with Ziam unable to defend the subsequent strikes on the ground. Ziam connected with a swinging elbow in the same exchange just before Sola's finishing blow arrived, a sequence that illustrated how quickly the finish unfolded. The stoppage was Sola's second consecutive first-round finish and second victory in Paris across two UFC appearances.
Aperçu du combat
A 100% French lightweight showdown at the Accor Arena pits Farès Ziam, looking to bounce back from a loss to Tom Nolan that cost him his top-15 ranking, against UFC newcomer Axel Sola who arrives riding momentum from a win over Ismaël Bonfim. The winner puts himself squarely in lightweight contention and earns bragging rights as the best French fighter in the division.
Clés de la victoire
Farès Ziam
- Use UFC experience and superior ring craft to control range and set the pace early.
- Avoid the reckless exchanges that cost him against Nolan and commit to disciplined, measured output.
- Exploit the clinch and fence work to neutralize Sola's forward-pressing volume whenever momentum shifts.
Axel Sola
- Press the pace relentlessly from the opening bell and drown Ziam in volume to offset the experience gap.
- Claim the center of the octagon and force Ziam to fight on the back foot against the cage.
- Disrupt Ziam's timing with lateral movement and avoid standing still long enough to eat clean counters.
