Brazilian grappling ace Beatriz Mesquita made incredibly quick work of Montserrat Rendon. Early in the opening round, Rendon was badly stumbled by a heavy right hand, and Mesquita immediately capitalized by powering her way into top position. Mesquita seamlessly transitioned to full mount, remaining composed as she rained down vicious ground-and-pound with punches and hammerfists. The heavy damage prompted Rendon to roll and give up her back. Mesquita wasted absolutely no time, instantly locking in a tight rear-naked choke that forced Rendon to tap out in a matter of seconds.
