Main Event: Makhachev Breaks the Record
Entering UFC 330, Islam Makhachev needed one more win to surpass Anderson Silva's record of 16 consecutive UFC victories. He got it, but Ian Machado Garry made him work for every round.
The early rounds followed the expected blueprint — Makhachev pressing with wrestling, looking for submission entries, and landing heavy shots when Machado Garry hesitated. A head kick landed flush in round two and sent Garry down, and it looked like it might be over. But Machado Garry got back to his feet, survived the follow-up pressure, and found his footing in the third. From there, the Irishman rallied. He started out-landing Makhachev on the feet in stretches and for a period had the Philadelphia crowd wondering whether the champion was fading. Makhachev was not done. He closed the final rounds behind his wrestling and left no doubt for the judges.
Scorecards: 49-46, 49-46, and 48-47, all for Makhachev. His record now sits at 29-1. The Anderson Silva record is gone.
For Garry, the performance was a legitimate coming-out moment at the elite level. He went the distance with the best welterweight in the world and had stretches where he was in control. A top-five matchup is the logical next step for the Irishman.
Co-Main Event: Dern Dominates Robertson
Mackenzie Dern made the first defense of her UFC strawweight title and made it look one-sided. Gillian Robertson is an accomplished grappler, the type of opponent with the tools to take the fight into uncomfortable territory on the mat. None of that materialized. Dern controlled the distance, imposed her will across all five rounds, and swept the scorecards at 49-46, 49-46, 48-47. The strawweight champion looks completely at home at the top of the division.
Turner Opens with an Exclamation
Jalin Turner opened the main card and needed 39 seconds. He walked forward, landed punches in sequence, and Kaue Fernandes was stopped before the Philadelphia crowd had settled. It was a ruthless performance — one of the fastest UFC pay-per-view main card finishes of 2026 — and Turner collected a Performance of the Night bonus for it.
Ribovics Stops Barboza in an Upset
The card's biggest surprise came from Esteban Ribovics, who stopped Edson Barboza at 1:32 of round two. Barboza is a 16-year UFC veteran with some of the most dangerous striking in lightweight history. Ribovics did not care about the résumé. He exchanged with the veteran early, kept coming forward, and finished Barboza cleanly before the end of the second round. It is the kind of result that puts a name on the radar — Ribovics now has a case for a significant step-up matchup.
Other Bonus Winners and Prelim Highlights
Dustin Stoltzfus submitted Mansur Abdul-Malik with a rear naked choke at 4:25 of round two to collect a Performance of the Night bonus on the main card. Jeremiah Wells earned the fourth and final bonus with a third-round guillotine choke over Myktybek Orolbai.
The prelim card had its share of notable outcomes. Tresean Gore handed Vicente Luque a decision loss, a result that carries weight given Luque's standing as one of the most dangerous finishers in the division. Donte Johnson stopped Eric McConico in round one. Neil Magny — one of the longest-tenured welterweights in the UFC — finished Ramiz Brahimaj in round two, showing he remains a credible threat. Lucas Fernando earned a TKO over Rafael Tobias in the third round of their early prelim matchup after landing a clean knee.
Chidi Njokuani rounded out the prelim results with a unanimous decision over Joel Álvarez in a welterweight contest.
