UFC Fight Night: Fiziev vs. Torres Recap: Full Results and Analysis
Rafael Fiziev stopped Manuel Torres at 15 seconds of round two in Baku on Saturday, finishing a performance that ran on pure will after a jab in round one impaired his left eye. He threw a spinning back kick, dropped Torres, and closed it out on the ground. The finish was one of four Performance of the Night efforts on a card that came in heavy with finishes across every section.
"Bro, I couldn't see anything in my left eye," Fiziev said afterward. "When I closed my left eye, I could see everything. I just threw a spinning back kick and you know what happened now."
He called for a BMF title shot in his Octagon interview. Whoever comes next will be dealing with a fighter who just finished Manuel Torres half-blind.

Main Event: Fiziev Delivers on Home Soil
Fiziev entered round two unable to see clearly from his left eye after Torres caught him with a straight jab in round one. He fought through it, composed himself between rounds, and opened round two with the spinning back kick that ended the fight. Torres had no answer once he hit the canvas. At 0:15, it was one of the fastest main event finishes the UFC has seen.
Fiziev is now 2-0 in Baku. He fights differently in front of a home crowd, and Saturday confirmed it. His next stated target is the BMF title — he made the callout directly in the Octagon. The style matchups that fight could produce are worth watching for.
Co-Main Event: Magomedov Survives and Grinds
Michel Pereira started the co-main the way Pereira usually starts fights — in front, dangerous, landing the right hand. He put Magomedov on the canvas with a clean shot in round one. What happened after that told a different story. Pereira faded. His output in rounds two and three dropped close to nothing, while Magomedov kept landing, kept moving, kept building toward the scorecards. A sharp body kick in the final seconds of round three landed on a spent opponent. All three judges scored it 29-28 for Magomedov.
The result confirms Magomedov as a legitimate middleweight contender. It also signals that Pereira's conditioning is a real liability at this level when fights extend past the first round.
Bonus Awards
The UFC handed out four Performance of the Night awards:
- Rafael Fiziev — spinning back kick TKO of Manuel Torres at 0:15 of round two
- Asu Almabayev — Suloev Stretch submission of Charles Johnson at 3:33 of round three, one of the rarest finishes in UFC history
- Abdul-Rakhman Yakhyaev — TKO of Julius Walker at eight seconds of round one, tied for the seventh-fastest stoppage in UFC history
- Daniil Donchenko — high kick into punches TKO of Theodor Berggren at 1:35 of round two, extending his winning streak to eight
Notable Prelim Performances
Yakhyaev's eight-second finish deserves more than a line. He threw one right hand in the opening exchange, Walker went down, and Yakhyaev followed with ground strikes to finish. Eight seconds is not a number you see often — even measured against UFC history, it sits tied for seventh-fastest all-time.
Farman Hasanov, fighting on home soil in Azerbaijan, set a UFC record for takedowns in a single round. He secured nine in the first round of his unanimous decision over Eric Nolan. Nine takedowns in one round is a number that will get matchmaking attention quickly.
Nursulton Ruziboev kept his middleweight record unblemished with a first-round rear-naked choke of Andrey Pulyaev. He is 5-0 at 185 pounds inside the UFC with no decision required.
Almabayev's Suloev Stretch submission of Charles Johnson capped a round-three sequence that shifted from a rear-naked choke attempt to an extended leg submission. The technique has appeared only four times in UFC history as a finishing move. Almabayev found it when the choke was not there, which is the kind of adaptability that earns bonus money.
