RIZIN has announced 10 bouts for Super RIZIN 6, its traditional New Year's Eve show, on Dec. 31, 2026 at the Vantelim Dome Nagoya in Nagoya, Japan. According to MMA Fighting, the card includes three title fights and two grand prix finals, and it is headlined by featherweight champion Razhabali Shaidulloev, who makes his last RIZIN appearance against Kyoma Akimoto.
The main event
Shaidulloev, the PFL and RIZIN featherweight champion, is 19-0 as a professional. MMA Fighting notes that only one of his wins went to a decision: his most recent title defense against A.J. McKee in September at Super RIZIN 5. He will join MVP MMA in 2027, and MMA Fighting reported his MVP deal in September, so the Nagoya fight is his final promotional appearance in Japan.
Akimoto is 13-1 and has earned the title shot with two notable wins this year, over Patchy Mix and Kleber Koike. Mix, 20-3 in our database, won the Bellator bantamweight title in 2023 and defended it in 2024 before moving to the UFC.
The rest of the title picture
The co-main event is a rematch between lightweight champion Luiz Gustavo and Mikuru Asakura, who is 19-5 with one no contest in our records. MMA Fighting reports that it is still undetermined whether the 155-pound title will be on the line, so the status of the belt is not confirmed.
Saori Oshima defends the super atomweight title against Natasha Kuziutina. The heavyweight grand prix final pits Tsuyoshi Sudario (9-4 in our database, eight of his nine wins by knockout or TKO) against Edopolo King.
