Resumo do resultado
Eric McConico earned a gritty and mature unanimous decision victory over Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu specialist Rodolfo Vieira. McConico had to navigate incredibly rough waters early in the first round as Vieira aggressively closed the distance and threatened with his world-class grappling repertoire. However, McConico survived the initial onslaught, stayed remarkably composed, and gradually took over the fight using crisp striking and stellar defensive wrestling. McConico dictated the terms of the striking exchanges in the second and third rounds, convincing all three judges to score the bout in his favor.

Chaves para a vitória
Rodolfo Vieira
- Rely on a sharp, defensive jab and high guard to safely enter the clinch.
- Execute well-timed body-lock takedowns rather than shooting from the outside.
- Rapidly pass the guard and set up his trademark arm-triangle choke.
Eric McConico
- Use his 11cm reach advantage to maintain striking distance at all times.
- Punish Vieira's body with teep kicks to drain the grappler's gas tank early.
- Keep his back off the fence to avoid giving Vieira easy pathways to the clinch.
