Pregled borbe
A spectacular international welterweight clash features Afghanistan's Wahed Nazhand matching up against Argentine UFC and PFL veteran Laureano 'Pepi' Staropoli. Nazhand is riding an impressive win streak and looks to claim the biggest scalp of his career to date. Staropoli, on the other hand, comes in looking for redemption; fighting out of MMA Factory, the veteran is eager to use his superior size and high-level cage experience to get back into the win column after recent PFL struggles.
Ključevi pobede
Wahed Nazhand
- Implement a heavy wrestling and top-control game to completely neutralize Staropoli's extensive striking experience
- Use constant forward pressure and volume striking to test the Argentine's conditioning over the course of three rounds
- Avoid the center of the cage where Staropoli's kicking game is most dangerous, looking instead to fight in the phone booth
Laureano Staropoli
- Use his 6'0 frame and 72-inch reach to pick Nazhand apart from the outside, relying heavily on varied kicks and long combinations
- Stuff the takedowns with strong hips and punish Nazhand's entries with sharp counter hooks and uppercuts
- Utilize high-level veteran experience to manage the pace of the fight, slowing things down when Nazhand tries to blitz
