Result Summary
Ryan Gandra def. Zachary Reese TKO (punch) · R1 1:15
Fight Overview
Zachary Reese, the 6-foot-4 Texan middleweight who has two Performance of the Night bonuses and a debatable split-decision loss to Michel Pereira on his resume, faces unbeaten Brazilian finisher Ryan Gandra, who claimed his UFC contract with a first-round stoppage and has rarely seen a second round in his career. Reese brings size and power while Gandra brings urgency and finishing instinct, setting up a compelling debut-card test for both men.
Keys to Victory
Zachary Reese
- Use his 6-foot-4 frame and reach to keep Gandra at the end of his punches all night.
- Disrupt Gandra finishing attempts with takedowns to break momentum and reset positions.
- Mix striking levels intelligently to keep Gandra guessing and avoid walking into counters.
Ryan Gandra
- Apply relentless early pressure to avoid Reese establishing range with his height advantage.
- Work combinations to the body and head to force Reese defensive and create finishing openings.
- Move to the clinch and seek takedowns if the striking exchanges trend against him.
