A clash of heavyweight titans saw the massive 6-foot-8 Renan Ferreira take on Russian powerhouse Sergey Bilostenniy. Ferreira tried to utilize his incredible height and 85-inch reach to maintain distance, but Bilostenniy remained patient and effectively worked his way inside, frequently getting Ferreira off-balance and landing punches from the top. In the third round, Ferreira left his chin exposed during a crucial exchange. Bilostenniy capitalized perfectly, throwing a massive overhand right hook over the top that cracked the Brazilian clean on the chin, lifting his head almost off his shoulders and sending him crashing to the canvas. Bilostenniy secured the devastating TKO finish at 1:56 of Round 3.
Pregled borbe
Renan Ferreira is one of the most physically imposing fighters in MMA — the 6'8" Brazilian has produced first-round finishes of Ryan Bader and Denis Goltsov — but back-to-back losses to Francis Ngannou and Vadim Nemkov, who submitted him with an arm-triangle in December 2025, have raised questions about his durability at the elite level. Standing across the cage is Sergey Bilostenniy, a Russian heavyweight who knocked out Karl Williams with a single left hook in the 2025 PFL Finals and submitted Tyrell Fortune with a heel hook — a genuine stylistic wildcard with real finishing ability at both range and on the ground.
Ključevi pobjede
Renan Ferreira
- Use his 7-inch height advantage and wide reach to keep the fight at long range where his straight punches and knees are most dangerous to a shorter opponent.
- Pursue early aggression rather than allowing Bilostenniy to find a rhythm, as his best results come from overwhelming pressure in the opening round.
- Prioritize staying off his back through active hip movement and cage work to avoid ground exposure after his recent submission loss.
Sergey Bilostenniy
- Smother Ferreira's length immediately by walking through the jab and getting chest-to-chest to neutralize the reach disparity that makes Ferreira lethal at distance.
- Pursue a takedown and ground-and-pound or submission attempt, where his heel hook and grappling credentials have already proven effective against top PFL heavyweights.
- Time Ferreira's wide looping punches and counter with straight left hooks, similar to the single shot that stopped Karl Williams in the 2025 Finals.
