After dragging Mhamdi to the mat, Abdellaoui expertly navigated to the back, locking in his hooks and securing a tight rear-naked choke. Mhamdi was left with no choice but to tap out just 2:11 into the opening round. The flawless submission victory pushed Abdellaoui's record to 5-0 on his home soil.
